A Strange Marriage

Perhaps you have heard about  a brother taking over his elder brother's wife at his demise and as prescribed by traditional belief in some societies. This was the case when the phara-isees confronted Jesus Christ with the question as recorded in the Gospel of St. Luke 20v28-35 inquiring from the Lord about who became the real husband or the ultimate  fate of a woman who was married in turns at different times to her dead husband's brothers when they are all resurrected.
So this type is not entirely strange even by traditional practices in some Nigerian societies.
But this particular brief story will surely blow your mind as something unimaginable took place in the name of replacement (more like supplanting ) marriage with the full backing of church and family or so it seemed!
The individuals involved are both high ranking  Christians of the Pentecostal brand, highly dedicated as well.
Louise holds a master degree as her newfound husband which makes the matter a great puzzle and how desperate people can get.
Louise has been a regular visitor to her sister's Jos home mostly during Christmas holidays when workers and school children are usually on break to prepare for the Yuletide festivities.
On each occasion she made sure to purchase a few gift items for the two children, sister and her husband as Christmas presents.
She usually get something special from one of the expensive gift shops in Lagos for the Sister's husband.
The senior sister, Katherine didn't suspect anything but was rather excited and pleased to welcome Louise to their family home while the children always look forward to see their Auntie. She treats her sister with passionate affection and the deep love chemistry flowing between the two beautiful sisters is simply amazing. Katherine had a lot of admiration for the hardworking younger sister who has distinguished herself academically.
Louise was the only one of the three daughters of their parents that has achieved this feat but Katherine the only one to be happily married with children to a successful man. Despite her moderate educational background she has great business skills to make up for her other deficiencies.
Louise is quietly suffering her single most life setback in the midst of her successful story. Her blight is lack of attention from the opposite sex despite going out of her way to make herself appealing to them.
This makes her moody at times when she realized that she was fast advancing in age into her late thirties. Moreover her most senior sister has been in single status and running out of time with prospective suitors.
But Katherine has been forthcoming with cheerful words of faith to assure Louise she should count n God besides her impressive academic success and attractive looks. She believe that the right man will show up eventually  before long. Louise's hope was restored and kept alive whilst she remain grateful to her wonderful sister for really caring.
Meanwhile Katherine husband was very fond of her sister beyond the ordinary but she didn't give any thought to this as she trusted her younger sister with every fibre of her heart not to worry and be suspicious of any harm to her marriage.
So sister in-law and husband often go out shopping and come in at late hours sometimes without concern.
That was the situation for three years until a strange illness afflicted Katherine which defied every remedy through prayers and prescribed drugs.

ANOTHER TOMORROW

CHAPTER ONE It's like waking up and finding myself in a dreamland. Dreamland or reality? Whatever this scene may seem, truth reflects in this: life is a journey. Red, Blue, Yellow, Green, Orange, Violet, and I,    White were altogether that morning sitting by the pool which shimmered under the luminous sun. The reflection of hope was what we saw, smelt, and felt as we washed ourselves in the pool, and  joyfully refreshed to resume our travel.

Love versus Lust

Love is an intense feeling or affection and care towards another person. Lust is a strong craving for something. In terms of intimate relationship, lust is a strong desire to get sexually intimate with the opposite sex. According to Judith Orloff M.D's book on intuitive healing she discussed the difference between lust and love: Pure lust is based solely on physical attraction and fantasy--it often dissipates when the "real person" surfaces. ...... However, real love, not based on idealization or projection, requires time to get to know each other. Here are some signs to watch for to differentiate pure lust from love. SIGNS OF LUST *You're totally focused on a person's looks and body. *You're interested in having sex, but not in having conversations. *You'd rather keep the relationship on a fantasy level, not discuss real feelings. *You want to leave soon after sex rather than cuddling or breakfast the next morning. *You are lovers, but not fr

Dreams Never Die Till... (1)

Nothing can be more alive in the inner recesses of our minds than our dreams. That is the proof of the incontestable superiority of our dreams to all other ideas and thoughts swirling around our brains for attention. The reason is that our rise and fall in life depends on the types of dream we harbour and nurture in our minds.
